My new favorite app: Recipe Keeper

BEHOLD! The app to replace your disorganized pinterest recipe board that infuriates you to use because every food blogger has a life story to share as the appetizer to their recipe. The life stories are sometimes really funny or charming, so I do read them from time to time, but what I cannot stand are the freaking pop-ups & ads that plague their websites. I know that's a revenue stream, I don't mean to poo-poo it, but gosh, when I'm just wanting to make dinner, it's taxing. 

To bypass this, I would print out the recipes that were great and keep them in a binder, but that was starting to tax me too. I am in a season where I crave simplicity so I did a google search and found Recipe Keeper...AND OH MY GOSH IT'S AMAZING. Too bad I don't get a commission on referrals, because I've already turned many a folken onto this gem of an app. 

Here's what I love:

• you can import recipes from a website, take a picture of a recipe, or type one
• when importing from a website, once you click "go" it will crawl the site quickly and say if it found a recipe. once it has you click save and it not only pulls the picture, it formats it for you!
• every recipe is formatted the same *I'm crying, I LOVEEE THIS*
• you can organize it however you please
• you can meal plan you week and then have it generate your shopping list based on your meal plan (!!!!!!!!!! *.* !!!!!!!!!!!!)
• haven't played with this feature yet, but looks like you can also make a cookbook?!
• can share across all devices
• stays lit while using
• one-time fee of $12.99 for the app (first 20 recipes are free so you can see if you like it

Here's what I DON'T love:

• sometimes the app crashes when importing from a website. it's not a huge deal though bc you just re-paste and it has always worked that second time for me
